The vineyards, covering approximately 6 hectares, are carefully tended, with each vine nurtured to produce wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region, combining the centuries-old Carthusian tradition with modern winemaking techniques.

The estate continues a legacy that dates back to the 12th century, when French Carthusian monks from Grenoble founded the Žiče Charterhouse and planted the first vines on the surrounding hills. Today, winemaker Jurij Brumec, together with his family, revives this historic Carthusian spirit through their boutique wine story.

Meum focuses primarily on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, which thrive in the local terroir. The vineyards are situated between 350 and 480 meters above sea level on steep, south-facing slopes with limestone soils, allowing the production of wines with pronounced minerality and freshness.
Visitors to the estate can experience not only exceptional wines but also a harmonious blend of nature, history, and careful vineyard management, all woven into the Meum wine story.

The panorama stretches far — across Croatia, over the Drava plain, all the way to the forested slopes of Pohorje, and on clear days even to Grintovec, the highest peak of the Kamnik–Savinja Alps. Our wine cellar stands atop these picturesque wine-growing hills, embraced by tranquility, nature, and the authentic pulse of local viticulture.
During your visit, we guide you through the cellar, where the tasting of our wines reveals a harmonious blend of Carthusian tradition and family dedication to winemaking. In our guided tasting, you will explore selected vintages of Meum wines, and—by prior arrangement—also enjoy thoughtfully paired snacks.
