Meum Winery from Klokočovnik near Loče continues a rich winemaking tradition that dates back to the 12th century, when French Carthusian monks from Grenoble founded the Žiče Charterhouse and planted the first vines on the surrounding hills. Today, this heritage is revived by the Brumec family, who, under the direction of Jurij Brumec, cultivate approximately 6 hectares of vineyards and produce around 20.000 bottles of wine per year.
The name “Meum” comes from the Latin phrase “et vinum meum”, meaning “my wine.” The name combines a personal approach with advanced winemaking expertise, resulting in high-quality wines with character.

Meum focuses primarily on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, two varieties that thrive in the local terroir. The vineyards lie between 350 and 480 meters above sea level, on steep, south-facing slopes with white marl soil, which allows for the production of wines with pronounced minerality and freshness.

A medium-deep ruby-colored wine. The bouquet is moderately pronounced and pleasantly fruity, with notes of raspberries, strawberries, a hint of black pepper, and very ripe fruit, even marmalade. Youthful and vibrant. Dry on the palate, with moderate acidity and low tannins. The flavor is pleasant, offering simple complexity and a clear, well-defined character.

A medium-deep golden-yellow wine. The bouquet is mature and composed, moderately pronounced, reminiscent of continental fruits, with notes of ripe apples, dandelion honey, and white flowers. Dry on the palate, medium-bodied, with a slightly oily texture. An elegant Chardonnay with balanced acidity and a long finish.

A beautiful pink rosé made from Pinot Noir grapes. Its delicate salmon color hints at elegance. The aroma is subtle, still slightly closed, with notes reminiscent of raspberries. On the palate, it is dry, with lively acidity, a light and refreshing body, and a pleasant intensity of flavor. A classic aperitif rosé.
